KARAPATAN: Student's
Rights
· Review of
the Students Charter
Our rights as students
have been promoted through the Students Charter, a local version of the
Magna Carta which contains students' rights. An in depth review on
the Charter will ensure continued protection of these rights.
· Transparent
University Funds
As students, we have
the right to know where our tuition -- our money is being spent.
Let us push for the transparency of University funds and ensure the transparency
of the Student Council Funds, so we would know where our money goes.
· Lowest Justifiable
Tuition Fee Increase
We have the right
to affordable education. To protect this right, let us continually
push for the lowest justifiable tuition fee increase.
· Tuition
Fee Endowment Fund
We have been looking
for ways to subsidize the yearly tuition fee increase. This year,
the Tuition Fee Endowment Fund will be implemented to relieve us, the students,
of high tuition fee in the future.
KAPAKANAN: Students Welfare
· Scholarship
Program
Through the Student
Council Assistance Fund (SCAF), numerous students were helped with interest-free
tuition fee loans. Let us go beyond by providing scholarships for
a term to students in need.
· Scoop (Student
Cooperative)
DLSU canteen and
bookstore prices are high for students like us. Let us answer this
problem through a long-term program called Student Cooperative (Scoop)
Center that will provide us with relatively lower prices than those offered
now in DLSU.
·AID (Assistance
and Information Desk)
As students, we are
not fully oriented with the University processes and systems. AID
serves as a guide for us students in knowing the ins and outs of De La
Salle University.
·Students
FIRST (Feedback, Information and Recommendations from Students)
The student body
is the most important part of the university, thus, our voice should be
heard first. The Students FIRST Program shall provide a venue where we
can voice out our comments, suggestions, and recommendations regarding
the University policies we find unfair or services we find unsatisfactory.
· On-line
Enrollment for Students.
The process for enrollment
has been proven to be a hassle for us students every term. In line with
our commitment to promote student's welfare, the convenience of students
will be ensured through an on-line enrollment.
KABUUAN: Holistic
Development of Students
· Need Assessment
Survey
It is important to
know our needs as students before we take any type of action. In
line with this, a Needs Assessment Survey will allow us to know and address
students needs properly.
· Lasallian
Action Congress
In this new generation,
there is a need to fully understand the concerns of Lasallians. The
Lasallian Action Congress will provide the students and other sectors of
DLSU an opportunity to voice out their concerns and express their opinions
and ideas.
·CRADLE (Curriculum
Review for Academic Development of Lasallian Education)
CRADLE is a comprehensive
study similar to past curriculum reviews, which shall promote our right
to give our opinions regarding the quality of education that we get from
DLSU. This program will focus on the major and minor subjects offered,
including the ROTC curriculum.
KAAYUSAN: Professional
Student Council
· Student Council
Service Exam
To ensure that we
are represented well in the SC, a SC Service Exam shall assess the knowledge
of SC officers on relevant SC matters. The results will serve as
a basis for future SC training and development programs.
· TEAM (Training
for Effective and Active Management)
The TEAM Program
addresses the need for our SC officers to remain competent and further
develop their leadership skills. At the same time, it will promote
unity and collective effort among SC officers, making them more efficient
leaders for us students.

KAPANAGUTAN: Social
responsibility
· Livelihood
Program
The SC Livelihood
Program is a means to answer our call to social responsibility. It
aims to adapt a community and teach them to be self reliant by helping
the community start small scale businesses.
·KIDS Foundation
(Knowledge and Information Development of Street Kids)
All kids have the
right to education. But in reality, street kids are deprived of this right.
In line with our mission to be Christian Achievers for God and Country,
the KIDS Foundation will provide street kids with the basic skills and
knowledge that they need.
KAALAMAN: Social
Awareness
· CSCI (Committee
on Social Consciousness and Involvement)
It is important for
us as members of society to know what is happening around us. The CSCI
will serve as an instrument to help students remain socially aware through
informative campaigns.
